In the year of 2022 I took time talking to people who are interested in topics around Product, Design, Research, Career, Asia, etc. After 50+ conversations, I want to write down what I learned from these conversations.
Here is an overview of how the conversations usually flow.
It often started with the topics marked in dark green background in the figure, flowing to the shallower subareas. Everything about people we need to look into the context. As I started seeing a pattern, I’d like to transfer my learnings from these conversations into a few articles. Hopefully my learnings can help more people plan their career. This is how human progress as a whole.
*UXR here in the article means the person who plans and conducts user research , then shares the results and learnings with the core product development team to improve the product. This role is commonly called “user researcher”, “product researcher”, or “user experience researcher”, and usually falls under the UX team or Consumer Insight team as part of the product team.
